Privacy

OnlyReferee does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.

• Your Stripes Card: we keep a one-way scrambled form of the card number, an optional display name you choose, and when the card was made and last used.
• Your drill answers: which drills you answered, on what day and whether you were right, so the Drill Room can show your scores.
• Your Bench Book: the games, ratings and notes you type. Only you can see them, when signed in with your card.
• Cookies: one session cookie after you sign in, and one security cookie for forms. No advertising or analytics cookies: the banner ad described under Advertising sets none.
• Outside services: the only one any page loads is that banner ad from adengine.us, on the public pages only; it also counts one page view per page as a daily total. There are no analytics services.
• Server logs: like every website, the server records addresses and pages requested, for security.
• Payments (when switched on): PayPal handles the payment. We keep the order number, product, amount and status, not card details.

You can delete your account and everything above from Your card. Payment records are kept without any link to you, as the law on business records requires.

Advertising

The public pages of OnlyReferee (home, the feed and its posts, the Daily Call, the Drill Room and its drills, pricing and about) show one banner ad from AdEngine (adengine.us), the small ad network run by WeldonPC, the company behind this site. For now the ads are for WeldonPC's own services. Your Bench Book, the Stripes Card pages (join, sign in, your card), the page that shows your answer to a drill, the terms and this page show no ad.

To show an ad, your browser loads a script from adengine.us, asks it for one banner, loads the banner image, and reports once that the page was viewed and once that the banner was shown. Like any website, adengine.us receives your IP address, your browser type and the address of this site with those requests. It gets the site's address only (onlyreferee.com), not the page you are reading.

• No cookies, no profile. AdEngine sets no cookies, gives you no ID and does not track you from site to site. Nothing from your Stripes Card, your drill answers or your Bench Book is sent to it.
• How your IP address is used. adengine.us looks up the approximate city for your IP address in a location database kept on its own server (nothing is sent to anyone else), so that ads meant for one area are shown only there. It also uses the address to count each ad view or click only once and to leave out robots and WeldonPC's own office traffic. The address is not stored with the counts; the temporary entries made from it expire within six hours and are cleared from the server within two days.
• What is kept. Daily totals only: page views for this site, and views and clicks for each ad. The adengine.us web server also keeps a standard access log (IP address, time, address requested, referring site, browser) for security; it is deleted on a rolling schedule.
• Clicking an ad passes through adengine.us, which counts the click, and then opens the advertiser's site, which has its own privacy policy.
• Nothing about you is sold or shared.
